Iuki Spiderwebbed Fantasy Frontier Promoshooting 3 by Natsuko-Hiragi
The use of the outdoor setting and the implied peril of the intense tickle torture have elevated this above my usual ratings for this pair's work, which are based on good photography and rigging, and skilled acting, even when kitty-of-d00m only has her eyes to work with. (speaking of which, if you haven't already, open picture 2 of the sequence, zoom right in, and really pay close attention to her eyes whilst she's being gagged.

Particular extra kudos to the photo editor lostonezero who's done a real work on these pictures; the only thing I can actually swear wasn't on the camera is the thought and sound effects.
Christmas special 2015 part 5 by Natsuko-Hiragi
I decided to critique this shot for much the same reason as the commentators commented it; the close up shows off kitty-of-d00m eye acting, which always rates a 5* Impact rating from me, particularly when she's also gagged.

Any shot where she's hog-tied is also going to get a 4.5 or 5* technique rating because both Dom and Sub know her limits and will go "that far and no further" at least on camera, and I don't want people injured for the sake of entertainment.

4* for Vision is because they always have a clear idea of where they're going with a given shoot.

3.5* for Originality is because there's a fair amount of parcel tape (and duct tape) bondage out there, so it take something really new to get much above average.
Keep Out~ by Justawaykitty
Ok, I'm critiqueing this partly as a cosplay, and partly as a piece of bondage artwork.

As a cosplay, I just don't see how you could improve it, since the costume is just so to the original and the cosplayer looks the part.

Viewing it as bondage artwork is slightly more awkward. I've never seen anyone do something like this before which locks out Vision and Originality. The combination of the lighting, the settiing, the expression and yes the model's considerable good looks give it massive impact.
So this leads me to my one issue with Technique. For me, the shot would be improved by the model's legs being closer to the pillar she's against so that she is bound more securely, and with more tape.
Harukas Halloween adventure 9 by Natsuko-Hiragi
This critique should be red as relating to the entire shoot, not just the one picture that is my personal favourite.
The thing that, above all else, appeals to me about this pair's bondage work is just how well Kitty-of-D00m manages to act her peril as she is progressively tied more and more securely, whilst still being able to actively enjoy her submission. This led me to my 5* ratings for Impact and Technique.
I also gave this a 5* rating for Vision, not so much for the idea of "girl in mummification" although I've never seen a live action full mummification being shot before (check shots 11 and 12), as for the story which establishes a motivation for both characters.
I couldn't bring myself to more than a 4* rating for Originality because bondage is a field where it more or less has all been done by now.
Save Spira by MiciaGlo
I chopped off half a point on Vision because lots of people have cosplayed FFX-2, and particularly Yuna and Rikki in their default Gunner and Thief costumes.

Beyond that I may struggle to make the word limit because there's nothing I can see to criticise negatively. The costumes are well detailed, even picking up the blended tones and colours of some of the original garments, particularly Yuna's skirt and Rikku's scarf. Some might wish for a greater depth of field so that Rikku would be in sharper focus, but that's about it.

I'm presently replaying the game, and as soon as I saw this shot, the posing and photo-editting transported me to Spira, and specifically one of the lakes in the Macalania Woods.
I was reading replies to my comments on their recent work by Forty-Fathoms forty-fathoms.deviantart.com/j… and TheDarkRayne thedarkrayne.deviantart.com/ar… and found myself thinking that how we interpret an artwork can be a personal thing. We may see something that the artist didn't or doesn't, or something that they agree is valid but wasn't their original intent.

Is this why we create art, and in particular why we expose it to public comment on sites like DA? In order to find out what other people actually think of our work. Presuming that this is the case, does it really help anyone when a model (usually a woman in my experience) gets lots of comments that are just variations on "pretty girl"? Please, if that's all you've got to say, think twice, and see if you can at least say something funny.

No problems; I think I'm actually correcting a long-term ommission with how often we view and comment on the same pieces.
