I'm going to start off-topic with "It's CHRISTMAS!!"

Overall, a really great set, starting with a convincing Nami cosplay that for once isn't jeans and bikini top. Also, the "self-wrapping present" is a generally cool idea, more of a standard than a cliche in my view, and it's well implemented here by one of the best DiD actresses around.

What's particularly great about this last shot in the set is the way that it's built up on the earlier story, beginning with just a dress, then the present card, then progressively more tape bondage, with angles to show us how it was done to be secure but comfortable, and finally ending with the bag.

The motorcycle itself is an original design, but draws influences from (I think anyway) BMW and Suzuki Hayabusa. This results in it having a powerful but also fairly heavy appearance.

The rider appears to be an anthropomorphised fox with green and white fur, and a black leather riding suit but no helmet. As a point of art, rather than safety, this is a sound choice, allowing the viewer to see the rider's head and expression, and the creasing of the leather as the bike is banked into a turn with the rider extending it's right knee, moving off the bike in a similar manner to a TT rider (based on on-board backwards facing footage of John McGuinness).

So the whole is realistic (apart from rider species, but this is art).

I rated this highly on Vision because the artist specifically said they wanted to do something new, and I've never seen them do anything like this before.

I went average on Originality because who hasn't seen a female toxophilite in leather bikini and thigh boots before?

A full 5* for Technique because it's a full render and not a stock work, and every aspect of it, particularly the leaves, pebbles and main figure just get more realistic at higher zooms.

4* for Impact because I think it would benefit from a visible arrow case, and a nocked and drawn arrow, as if she has found some prey (dinner?)
I was reading replies to my comments on their recent work by Forty-Fathoms forty-fathoms.deviantart.com/j… and TheDarkRayne thedarkrayne.deviantart.com/ar… and found myself thinking that how we interpret an artwork can be a personal thing. We may see something that the artist didn't or doesn't, or something that they agree is valid but wasn't their original intent.

Is this why we create art, and in particular why we expose it to public comment on sites like DA? In order to find out what other people actually think of our work. Presuming that this is the case, does it really help anyone when a model (usually a woman in my experience) gets lots of comments that are just variations on "pretty girl"? Please, if that's all you've got to say, think twice, and see if you can at least say something funny.
